Favorite Drugstore Mascaras

So, before I begin this post, I would like to disclaim that I am a massive fan of big, black, voluminous, “spider-y” lashes..

Natural lashes… what are those? Yes, I like to go big with my lashes, even during the day.

I have two absolute favorite drugstore mascaras. Recently, I had two different friends ask me for a favorite drugstore mascara recommendation, so I thought I would do a little post on two of my go-to’s, and why I think they’re so amazing.

1. Maybelline “The Falsies” Mascara:  I was first introduced to this mascara by Tanya Burr two years ago, and I haven’t looked back since. This mascara gets the job done swiftly, with BIG results. It is a very ‘wet’ mascara, so be wary if your lashes tend to fall throughout the day — you may want to curl them first. This formulation is simply on point — it provides massive, thick, voluminous lashes, without a whole lot of work. It is a bristle brush, so also keep that in mind in regard to your personal preferences.

2. L’Oreal Voluminous Million Mascara: This is a long-time favorite of mine. My mom used to buy it years ago, and I have since become a huge fan. This mascara is a classic. It provides long, separated lashes initially, and with a few more coats, gives me those big, spider-lashes that I love. I do find that this brush/formulation combo does take me a few minutes longer to achieve my desired level of length and volume, but the end results are just what I like! This mascara comes with a rubber brush, which I’m not a massive fan of, but nonetheless, the look it gives is well worth the sacrifice.

*Note: I really don’t bode well with waterproof mascara — whatsoever. However, both of these mascaras come in a waterproof formulation — which is great for vacationing, or just simply for oily eyelids!

I’d love your opinion, which look do you like better? What are your drugstore favorites?
