Wanderlust

“I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list.” – Susan Sontag

It is official, I have the travel bug..

Although my first trip to Europe was when I was less than a year old so that I could be baptized in a Greek Orthodox Church, much of the traveling I have done has occurred in the past 7 or so years. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have gone to all the places I have, as those experiences are priceless.

I think traveling is an incredibly powerful way to learn about both the rest of the world, as well as yourself. It can put you out of your comfort zone and help you grow, or can resurrect happy, nostalgic memories that bring you the comfort of the familiar. No matter your age or where you go, traveling keeps the mind and soul young. You can keep it simple and explore a new part of the city you grew up in (for me, I want to explore Hillcrest/North Park areas this year), or you can go big and check a new foreign country off your bucket list. I know that no matter what stage of life I’m in, traveling will always remain high on my priority list.

In no particular order, here are a few destinations still on my bucket list:

[Annecy, France]

[Nashville, TN]

[Italy]

[New York City, NY]

[South Africa]

[Seattle, WA]

[Switzerland]

I wish for each of you that you too have the opportunity to experience the joys, challenges, and wonderful memories that come with traveling.

Au Revoir,  for now!
