Cinnamon Snack

Aside from its amazingly spicy and warm flavor, cinnamon also holds awesome health benefits. Conveniently, the same goes for raw almonds. Since we had both ingredients in the pantry, I decided to bring back a yummy holiday favorite while also remaining nutritiously conscious. Cinnamon sugar almonds are the perfect combination of crunchy, sugary, salty, and healthy – and are so easy to make. In about 10 minutes I had a yummy treat that probably won’t last for more than a few days knowing my family!

[4 cups of raw almonds]

[1 c. sugar, 1/2 c. water, 1 tbsp. ground cinnamon, 1 tsp. salt]

[bring sugar and water to a boil in a saucepan — add almonds and stir constantly as water evaporates (5 min.) — add salt and cinnamon as the sugar begins to dry and stir]

[let cool on wax paper or foil — enjoy!]
